Chess bets online with Batery.win (Fbet)

At first glance, many bettors might think chess betting isn’t very popular. But they would be wrong. Chess isn't just a mind-bending game anymore; it's also a spectator sport that involves serious betting. Unlike most sports betting, chess doesn't have a ton of different options to wager on. But that doesn't mean it's boring! At our online betting website

Batery Canada, we get creative to offer you ways to gamble on matches, tournaments, and even individual games.

Best Chess Betting Odds

If you are looking for the best chess betting odds, you are in the right place. As we stated earlier, chess doesn't have a lot of betting opportunities, but let's go over some of the available

sports betting options:

  1. Chess Straight Bet: Also known as Outright bet, Many chess tournaments, especially those featuring top players (Grandmasters!), involving 6 to 16 competitors vying for the top spot. The "outright" bet lets you wager who will ultimately win the world tournament instead of picking a champion for each game. The odds for each player to win are based on their skill level, but they can change throughout the tournament! Even if a legend like Magnus Carlsen (one of the greatest ever!) starts as the favorite, the odds for all the players can shift dramatically if he stumbles early on.
  2. Match Winner: Sometimes, chess betting lets you focus on a single head-to-head battle between two players in a game. Here, you can bet on who will win the entire "match" - not just one game, but the player with the most wins or the better overall score after all the games are played.
  3. Opening Move: Even though top chess players (Grandmasters) usually start with well-known opening moves, there are still some surprises in the air! Some betting sites let you wager on the first move White will make. Think you can guess if they'll play it safe with a classic move or try something unexpected? You win the bet if you pick the right opening move and strategy!
  4. Number of moves: Just like in some other sports, chess betting can involve guessing "over" or "under" a certain number. In this case, the bookmaker will predict how many total moves the game will take. You can then bet on whether you think the match will finish with more moves than the number they set (over) or fewer moves (under).

Chess Betting on the World Championships

The World Chess Championship is a head-to-head battle between two chess titans: the reigning champion and a challenger who's earned the right to fight for the title. The tournament format has changed over time, but currently, it's a best-of-14-game showdown. Each player gets to play with both white and black pieces throughout the series to keep things fair. If the score is tied after all 14 games (yikes, that can happen!), things get even faster! They move to shorter, quicker games called "rapid" and then possibly even faster "blitz" games to break the tie and declare a winner.
